Do you want to have variations of your content display on a specific day or a range of days?
The Date Range rule allows you to select a single date, date range and time for running your recipe. If a visitor enters your store on or during the specified time and date range, Context will display the variations of content you selected in your recipe.
Outside of the time and date range selected, your recipe won’t get activated.
Great ways to use the Date Range rule:
- Display promotional banners and curated content on the day(s) and time you are holding your Black Friday sale.
- Display a message congratulating all of the runners in the Boston Marathon for 5 days following the event.
- During the months of October and November, announce that you are taking preorders for your fully prepared Thanksgiving dinners.
- Schedule all of your holiday artwork and messages for the year, in one sitting!
Applying the Date Range rule
If this is your first rule in the recipe, select “Create your first rule”. When adding additional rules, select “Add another rule”.
From the rule type menu select “Date Range”
Setting your date range
Using the calendar, select the start date, then select your end date. For a single day run, select the specific day. You can also apply start and end times. This becomes powerful when running date and time based campaigns.
Creating sophisticated recipes
Now that you’ve added a Customer Segment condition to your recipe, add other rule types such as Customer segment(s), Referrer, UTM parameters, Weather and Geographic location to expand or refine your conditions.
