Personalization works without login
Customers that are logged into your store with an account will see the content selected in your recipe, but Let’s face it, It more than likely your visitors won’t be logged in.
Context takes advantage of the Klaviyo beacon, meaning if they’ve visited your store from an email or SMS, a cookie’s already been set, allowing us to personalize the experience whether they’re logged in or not.
This is super powerful. This means you can display an email subscription popup to visitors not on your email list, or display an announcement bar promotion for a specific customer segment because they’ve interacted with your brand somewhere else.
Enriched customer profile data
In addition to using your existing Klaviyo customer segments, Context pushes data back into the Klaviyo customer profiles, enriching the data so you can create even better experiences across your marketing efforts.
Context adds:
- Context session
- Customer ID, URL, Recipe ID, Recipe name
- Context view
- Section ID, Variation ID, Variation Name, Variation type, URL, Recipe ID, Recipe name
- Context click
- Section ID, Variation ID, Variation Name, Variation type, URL, Recipe ID, Recipe name
Use Context data to segment customers in Klaviyo
Using Klaviyo customer segments
- Navigate to the Recipes tab and select the desired recipe
- Select the Rules tab and create a rule
- Select the Customer segments rule type
- Select 1 or more Customer segments from the list of Klaviyo customer segments displayed
- Click Save. That’s it! Simple right?
Creating sophisticated recipes
Now that you’ve added a Customer Segment condition to your recipe, add other rule types such as Date range, UTM parameters, Weather and Geographic location to expand or refine your conditions.
