Personalization works without login
Customers logged into your store will see the content selected in your recipe, but most visitors won’t be logged in.
Context leverages the Klaviyo beacon, so if a visitor comes from an email or SMS campaign, a cookie is set. This allows you to continue personalizing their experience on return visits, even if they’re not logged in.
This means you can display an email subscription popup to non-subscribers or show targeted promotions based on their prior interactions with your brand.
Enriched profile data
By using your Klaviyo customer segments to tailor shopping experiences, Context sends data back into Klaviyo customer profiles, enriching the customer insights. This allows you to craft even more targeted and effective marketing experiences.
Context adds:
- Context session Customer ID, URL, Recipe ID, Recipe name
- Context view Section ID, Variation ID, Variation Name, Variation type, URL, Recipe ID, Recipe name
- Context click Section ID, Variation ID, Variation Name, Variation type, URL, Recipe ID, Recipe name
Use Context data to segment customers in Klaviyo
Using Klaviyo customer segments
- Navigate to the Recipes tab and select the desired recipe
- Select the Rules tab and create a rule
- Select the Customer segments rule type
- Select 1 or more Customer segments from the list of Klaviyo customer segments displayed
- Click Save.
Create sophisticated recipes
Now that you’ve added a Customer Segment condition to your recipe, add other rule types such as Date range, UTM parameters, Weather and Geographic location to expand or refine your conditions.
